Pole Passion Bognor is excited to announce that we will be once again running a Charity Showcase, but this time it is going to be even bigger! Last year we raised an impressive £962 for My Sister's House.

This year we have chosen Village Friends as our charity. Village Friends is a good neighbour scheme that was started more than 20 years ago to try and meet some of the needs of lonely, mainly elderly, often bereaved, and sometimes housebound people in the Six Villages area.
A small team of volunteers visit people in their homes weekly for a chat and maybe a cup of tea, on the basis of good neighbourliness. Over time true friendships have developed and the recent practice of holding social events has proved immensely successful.
Village Friends is a small charity entirely dependent on the generosity of the local communities for its funding and for its volunteers, without which so many people would be left without any form of social contact in their later years.
One of our Village Friends recently said following a visit from a volunteer: ‘I feel all fizzy like I’ve been drinking champagne!’
The showcase this year will take place on Saturday 2nd March 2019, 6-9pm at Bersted Park Community Centre. Tickets will be on sale from February at £7.50 each for adults and £5 for children under 16years. On the night we will have performances from students who attend Pole Passion classes in Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Chichester, Worthing and Shoreham.
Tickets are available on the door!

We will also have a number of stalls selling various goods, and light refreshments available. Children are welcome, the last few performances on the night have a PG rating as some performances have a sensual element, but there will be no nudity. An alternative supervised space for children will be provided for this short section at the end.
Sponsors
We are looking for sponsors to help support us at our event this year. RPole Fitness and Pole Passion have been kind enough to sponsor both last year and this years event. Without sponsors we would find it challenging to cover costs and fund raise effectively so their support is hugely appreciated.

Previous events
Our showcase gives our students an opportunity to show family and friends their new skills and to work on performance techniques. Whilst our classes are primarily fitness focused, we do also look at aspects such as musicality, aesthetics, flow and character. By performing in the showcase students can really challenge themselves to conquer their nerves!

In our showcase in 2018 we raised nearly £1k for My Sister's House, a local charity providing support and services for women struggling in the Bognor Regis area.

In previous years we have supported St Richards Hospital and the Bognor Food Bank.
